To ensure you always have access to the latest performance enhancements and security patches, OptiGuard includes a lightweight, built-in Auto-Updater. This is the only component of our software that interacts with the internet. Upon launching the application, it securely connects to our official server (`optiguard.pages.dev`) via encrypted HTTPS to check the `version.json` file. This request is strictly limited to verifying the latest version number. It does not send any telemetry, user identifiers, or unique machine IDs. Once the check is complete, the network connection is immediately closed.
Because OptiGuard is designed to be the ultimate PC cleaner and optimizer, it requires administrative privileges (Run as Administrator) to function correctly. This elevated access is necessary to safely traverse deep system directories, clear protected caches, and definitively uninstall stubborn applications that leave residual registry keys behind. Every action taken by OptiGuard is transparent and initiated by you. We use native Windows Win32 APIs to ensure that all system modifications comply with Microsoft's strict safety guidelines. Your operating system's integrity remains secure.
Many free PC optimizers on the market generate revenue by bundling third-party adware, injecting sponsored links, or selling anonymized user data to advertising networks. OptiGuard is completely free of advertisements, bundled software, and tracking scripts. We do not partner with ad networks, and we will never sell your information because we do not collect it in the first place.
